Laurie Allen served as Senior Vice President of Marketing at the Capital Group, parent company of the American Funds, responsible for all marketing, branding and digital efforts at one of the world’s leading investment managers. She was a member of American Funds Distributors Board of Directors and served on both the Distribution and Service Management Committees during her 12 years with the firm. Prior to joining Capital, Laurie held a variety of positions at General Electric in its Appliances and Industrial businesses, including managing all digital properties, customer service operations and running the appliances parts and several service businesses. Earlier in her career, she was a director of corporate communications. Laurie has served on several non-profit boards, including the YMCA of Metropolitan LA and the Kentucky Derby Festival in Louisville, Kentucky. She holds an MBA from Bellarmine University in Louisville and a bachelor’s degree in English from the College of William and Mary in Virginia.
