Jacqueline DuPont, PhD, EDD
Jacqueline Dupont is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dupont Residential Care, Inc., Assured InHome Care, Inc., Board Member and part owner of Vista Gardens, LLC and former owner of Assured Horizons, LLC.
She brings more than 25 years of professional experience working with older adults and the Alzheimer’s community, in addition to serving on several boards and committees. Jacqueline serves on the advisory board for UCI MIND, and is the founder of the UCI MIND gala.
She and her husband, Marc Carlson, have Co-Chaired the gala for four years and she received the 2010 UCI MIND Philanthropy Award. She is currently on her fifth term of service (20 years) on the Board of the Alzheimer’s Association of Orange County Chapter, now Alzheimer’s of Orange County. She is also on the Board of Directors for Illumination Foundation (serving the homeless). She also has served on the Board of Directors of St. Anne School, JSerra Catholic High School, National Parkinson’s Foundation, South County Senior Services, Agewell, Salvation Army and UCI MIND Institute, Orange Catholic Foundation and chair of the 2015 – 2016 Senior Serve Hero Awards. In 2015, Jacqueline was awarded Humanitarian of the Year. Jacqueline is a Legatus CEO member and serves on the Orange Catholic Foundation Executive Board.
Jacqueline Dupont, a resident of San Clemente, graduated from the University of San Diego with a B.S, attended University of Southern California and received her two Masters at USC in Gerontology and Health Care Administration and her Doctorate in Psychology of Aging from Ashbourne University. In graduate school she published many articles and training programs for caregivers of older adults with dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Jacqueline is a Gerontologist and has lectured at USC, UCI and Cal State Fullerton on Aging Issues. In June 2014, she was the Commencement Speaker for the U.C. Irvine Francisco J. Ayala School of Biological Sciences graduation.
She was the International Sweetheart of Sigma Chi and is still active in Sigma Chi Alumni events across the country. She currently has a Scholarship named after her; The Dr. Jacqueline Dupont Carlson Scholarship. In her free time, she enjoys chair and co-chair appointments of Charity Galas. Jacqueline has served as Co-Chair of the Peru Club Missionary Trips during 2008 to 2010 at JSerra Catholic School. As a leader, she has escorted 50 high school students to Piura, Peru. She performed humanitarian work with the poorest of the poor, taking care of hospice patients, orphans and built homes for the very poor and sick.
Jacqueline has been featured on CNN, Dateline, Fox News, CNBC, in The Wall Street Journal, Orange Coast Magazine, and in many newspaper articles about her passion to protect and care for older adults in America. Her awards include: Age well (South County Seniors) Captains Ball Honoree 2004, Mother of the Year at St. Anne School 2005, Alzheimer’s Association Visionary Woman of the year 2006, Philanthropist of the year for JSerra Catholic High School 2010, Orange Catholic Foundations Bishop’s Award for Exemplary Business Ethics and Integrity Award 2011, Alzheimer’s Association Gala Honoree 2014 and the Senior Serve (Meals on Wheels) Senior Care Hero Humanitarian Award 2015.
Jacqueline founded Irvine Cottages Inc., in 1995, a group of small Memory Care facilities located in Irvine, Mission Viejo and Newport Beach. She also founded Assured InHome Care Inc., and is one of the owners of Vista Gardens, LLC, where she is also the current Executive Director. Jacqueline is also currently a doctorate student at USC in the School of Leadership and Higher Education. She will hopefully complete her doctorate by 2020.
She has four children who attended St. Anne School, JSerra Catholic School and also University of Notre Dame, and a devoted husband Marc, who partners with her on everything!
