Five Ways to Spread Cheer This Holiday Season

The holidays can be a difficult time of year for many. The loss of loved ones, financial insecurity, weakening health, and housing instability are among the few factors our adults, children, and families face, leading to homelessness, which makes celebrating the holiday season challenging and sometimes overwhelming.

A little can go a long way to bring a smile to our clients' faces.

Here are five ways you can spread holiday cheer this season for the vulnerable population we serve:

  1. Donate stockings filled with wish list items for the adults in our shelters

  2. Collect toys and gift cards for the children and families in our Family Emergency Shelters

  3. Host a holiday meal service at one of our Recuperative Care Centers

  4. Sponsor a meal, craft, or game for our Children & Families Holiday Party

  5. Write an encouraging note or card
