HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM ILLUMINATION FOUNDATION
As we reflect on the past year we want to express our gratitude.
We are grateful for our community partners and donors who ensure that we can continue to further our mission and do our important work in the community. We are grateful for all volunteers who enthusiastically give so much of themselves all year round.
Your care and commitment make an impact on the lives of those we serve. You provide hope and light for those experiencing homelessness.
We wish you a happy, healthy holiday season! We look forward to continuing to partner with you in 2022.
Our Children & Families Program Team hosted a Holiday party for the families in our family emergency homes at the Bob Murphy House. Families enjoyed a delicious meal donated by Villa Roma, followed by a festive photobooth donated by iHeart Momo Photo Booth, Christmas carolers, and a special visit from Santa! Thank you to Project Giving Light for helping make this event possible!
A SEASON OF INSPIRATION
Donor and friend of Illumination Foundation, Karen Jordan, brought holiday cheer, positivity, and love to the women of the Fullerton Navigation Center this Christmas season. Karen treated the women to an afternoon of sharing and gave insight into her own personal story and some of the challenges she has faced in her own life. Her message was one of acceptance, camaraderie, strength, sisterhood, and the power we all have to write a new chapter in our lives each and every day. Wanting to make each woman feel special and valued, Karen generously brought gifts for each one including a book of positive affirmations, beautiful lapis lazuli bracelets that are for protection, healing, and self-expression, luxurious hand lotion, and lavender essential oil to provide a sense of calm when needed. The women of the Fullerton Navigation Center were moved by Karen’s spirit. One client said, “I was feeling depressed today and this totally turned my day around.” We can’t thank Karen enough for her kindness, compassion, strength, and generosity.
Illumination Foundation is blessed to work with incredible and inspiring donors and volunteers every day. Thank you for being a part of the IF story and the stories of our clients’ lives.
